Dill Dip

Hey everybody! This week I was traveling for work (woo, trials are up and running again!) so I needed to make something quick and easy for the blog. Luckily we had Ryan's family come over this weekend for Mother's Day so I had the perfect excuse to make a quick and easy dip!

This dip is super easy to make and a crowd pleaser. And most importantly it doesn't need to chill or anything special. You just mix it and add chips and you're good to go!

My Grandmother always LOVED hosting parties so it is not a surprise to me at all that half of this recipe book is party foods. I hope you make this for your party!

Anyways on to the ingredients. You'll need 3oz. of cream cheese. I'm guessing when my grandmother started working on these recipes that the cream cheese came in a 3oz package because a lot of the recipes call for 3oz, but whatever. 1 tsp. grated onion (you can use fresh if you want, or the minced onion seasoning is probably good!), 1/4 tsp. dill weed, we used the fresh dill weed here, it made the taste more vivid, but you'll want to go a little heavier on the dill weed if you go fresh. Also 1 Tbsp. finely chopped green olives and a dash of salt.

You'll also need 1 - 2 tbsp. light cream. We did some research on light cream because light cream is not a thing we have ever been able to find in the grocery store. It's basically halfway between half-and-half and heavy cream. So you can either take your pick on the cream front or you can mix half-and-half and heavy whipping cream together. I don't really think you'll go terribly wrong with whatever choice you make here. Just add the cream until you have the right consistency, obviously the more cream you add the runnier the dip will be.

Once you have mastered the light cream and chopped your ingredients mix it together. It isn't hard! And you're done. It's really really easy.

Serve with chips of your choosing. I guess you could eat it with vegetables, but I'm going to recommend chips here.
